  • Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer (Nairobi)  – TT/MR/0610 – 019

The application procedure is as follows:

A CV, covering letter stating your market worth (expected pay package) and three (3) references must be submitted to the Human Resources Coordinator in an envelope marked with the vacancy reference number as appearing above. An email address that is easily accessible by the applicant must be provided as most correspondence will be by email.

Upon the candidate being short listed, they will be contacted by email and will be required to respond to the email with answers to a number of questions before a set deadline. This forms stage 1 of the recruitment process.

If answers to the questions in the email correspondence are deemed satisfactory, the applicant will be invited to sit an aptitude test and undergo a competency interview. This forms stage 2 of the recruitment process.

If the pass mark in the aptitude test is attained and the panel feels the applicant did well in the first interview they will be invited to an assessment day. The assessment day will involve an interview with more focus on the position applied for. A set of team tasks, business case studies and presentations involving interaction with other applicants and current members of staff will make up the rest of the assessment day. This will be the final stage of the recruitment process.

If an applicant is selected, they will be contacted with an offer.

HR Coordinator (Nairobi)       – TT/MR/0610 – 017

Key Performance Duties

You will be a passionate confident and competent personality with a charming approach to achieving your personal and departmental objectives. You will dress well, communicate professionally and respond quickly and effectively.

Experience in a dynamic environment dealing with multiple employees of different cultures and backgrounds as well as the ability to implement and monitor HR policies and a thorough knowledge of the Kenyan labour laws will be essential. A fresh, out-of-the-box approach in implementing and sustaining an efficient HR management system will be seen positively by the management and directors of the company.

You will report to the General Manager.

Your primary day to day responsibility will ultimately be to provide and maintain accurate, up to date employee records that would constitute the ‘human resource pool’ for the management and directors of the Tarpo group of companies.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience, Skills & Personality Traits

  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management OR 2 years experience in industry
  • Excellent ICT abilities in MS Office and SAGE Accounting packages
  • Extensive knowledge of the Kenyan labour laws
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili with a neutral accent

Sales Executive - Manufacturing Division (Nairobi)  – TT/MR/0610 – 018

Key Performance Duties

You will be a passionate seller with an aggressive but charming approach to achieving your personal and departmental objectives. You will dress well, communicate professionally and respond quickly and effectively.

Experience of the outdoors including camping and use of tents and their associated accessories will give you a head start in securing this position. A fresh, out-of-the-box approach to sales will be seen positively by the management and directors of the company.

The notion of ‘Think Global, Act Local’ will form the basis of your response to inquiries.

You will report to the Sales In-charge.

Your primary day to day responsibility will be to provide accurate, honest information, to both internal and external customers, about the company’s products, services and additional untried and untested abilities. You will also pounce on all opportunities and devour them to achieve excellent inquiry-to-order conversion rates.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience, Skills & Personality Traits

  • Diploma in Sales / Marketing OR 2 years experience in a similar industry
  • Excellent ICT abilities in MS Office and Accounting packages
  • Excellent numerical skills including knowledge of financial accounting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Sales Executive - Rental Division (Nairobi)   – MR/SQ/0610 – 004

Key Performance Duties

You will be an organized, hands-on ‘doer’ with an aggressive but charming approach to achieving divisional objectives. You will dress well, communicate professionally and respond quickly and effectively to any enquiries or leads.

Experience of the outdoors including camping and use of tents and their associated accessories will give you a head start in securing this position. In addition, a background in events management would be preferred. A fresh, out-of-the-box approach to sales will be seen positively by the management and directors of the company.

You will report to the Rental Division In-charge.

Your primary day to day responsibility will be to provide accurate, honest information, to both internal and external customers, about the company’s products, services and additional untried and untested abilities. You will also pounce on all opportunities and devour them to achieve excellent inquiry-to-order conversion rates.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience, Skills & Personality Traits

  • Diploma in Business Management / Sales / Marketing related field AND/OR 3 years experience in a similar industry
  • Excellent ICT abilities in MS Office and SAGE Accounting packages
  • Excellent numerical skills including knowledge of financial and management accounting
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineer (Nairobi)   – TT/MR/0610 – 019

Key Performance Duties

You will be an organized, hands-on ‘doer’ with an aggressive approach to achieving departmental objectives. You will be involved in machine maintenance as well as structural engineering works.

Interest in fluid dynamics and material sciences will ensure you enjoy this role.

You will report to the General Manager with a dotted line to the Production In-charge.

Your primary day to day responsibility will be to provide accurate information, to both internal and external customers, about the company’s products, services and additional untried and untested abilities. You will also be responsible for upkeep of the company’s preventive maintenance schedules.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience, Skills & Personality Traits

  • Recent graduate in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering AND/OR 2 years hand on experience in industry
  • Excellent ICT abilities including CAD software
  • Excellent numerical skills
